Q – How do I get to the BTC Event Centre?

Q – Is there wheelchair access at the BTC Event Centre?
Yes, all public areas of the Centre can be accessed by wheelchair. Disabled carparking is also available at the centre.
Q – Who owns and manages the BTC Event Centre?
The BTC Event Centre is situated on the grounds of the City Pacific Doomben Racecourse and is wholly owned by the Club. For more information on the Club go to www.doomben.com.
Q – What are the opening hours of the BTC Event Centre?
The administration hours of the Centre are 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Operational hours are determined by events held at the Centre.
Q – Can I receive messages while I’m at the conference?
Messages can be collected and left at the General Office. Guests can either come to the office to collect messages, or phone from their function room to the reception extension number 9.
Q – Does the centre have Automatic Teller Machine’s (ATM)?
There is an ATM situated on the grounds, however it will depend on the event that you are attending as to whether the machine will be in operation on that day.
Q – Does the Centre have anywhere to leave personal belongings?
If required, you are able to leave your belongings in our office. Please see the receptionist.

Q – How do I apply for a job at the BTC Event Centre?

Q – What are the public transport options?
A comprehensive network of trains, buses and city cats (ferries) link the BTC Event Centre with Brisbane city and suburbs. Translink tickets are the best way to visit and travel around the city. The Translink website contains more details: www.translink.com.au.
Q – Is public transport available nearby the Centre?
The closest train station is Doomben Station, which is a 200 metre walk from the main entrance to the centre. Timetables can be found at the Translink website www.translink.com.au
Q – Are taxis readily available at BTC Event Centre?
A taxi rank is located at the main entrance to the Centre. Taxi’s will generally only attend this rank without being called if a large event has taken place and an arrangement with a taxi company has been made prior by the organiser of the event.

Q – Can I park at the BTC Event Centre & how much is it?
The BTC Event Centre can accommodate for in excess of 2,000 vehicles and parking is complimentary!

Events
Q – Where can I find out what events are being held at the BTC Event Centre?
Visit our What’s On page to find a listing of events occurring at the Centre in the next 12 months. This list is updated regularly to reflect the most current events coming to the Centre.
Q – How do I become an exhibitor at any of the Exhibitions held at the Centre?
All Exhibitions at the Centre are run by any one of a large number of outside organisers, for contact details go to the What’s On page.
Concerts
Q – Where are concerts at the BTC Event Centre held?
All of our large concerts are held outside on the lawns. Some entertainment (such as DJs) may use indoor function rooms, depending on the event you are attending.
Q – Where do I purchase tickets?
You will need to contact the organiser of the event that you are wanting to attend. For contact details go to the Whats On page.
Q – Am I able to take photos when I attend a concert?
This depends on the agreement the Centre has with the artist and promoter. Usually unknown until a couple of weeks before the concert is due to happen.
